Just over 9 years

What is your role with this company/organization?

I am the Engineering Manager in the Natural Gas Division

What did you do before your current position here?

I have worked in the Natural Gas business in Central Ohio for over 30 years, including 2 years at the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio.

What is your favorite part about this company/position?

The best part of this job is working with a diverse group of employees.  It doesn’t matter which department or which company within he Cooperative, we all have the common goal of doing the job right the first time in a safe manner and making The Energy Cooperative the best utility we can.

Where do you see this company/organization in the future?

The Natural Gas division of the Energy Cooperative can trace its roots back 1912 with the Newark Consumers Gas Company.  The Electric Division of The Energy Cooperative was started in 1936 and is celebrating its 85 anniversary this year.  I see continued growth for both companies in the future.  We have been a part of the local communities for many years and I see that continuing for many more

What has working with this company/organization taught you? Working for the Cooperative has taught me what true customer/member service is. One of our guiding principles is concern for our community, and our members are part of that community. We strive to provide excellent member service while providing safe, reliable , affordable energy. As a cooperative, we have members not customers, and each member is an owner or shareholder. Ultimately, we are working for the benefit of our members, so providing excellent member service becomes part of our everyday job and work process. A strong community economic development program not only affects The Energy Cooperative, but also affects our members and community, so participating in a local economic development program is a natural fit for The Energy Cooperative.
